Once Upon a Fangirl...: Home

This episode would be the midseason finale before it would return in the spring with 5 more episodes. Alice & Will decide to confront the White Rabbit about his betrayal & it's discovered that Jafar has his wife (voiced by Whoopi Goldberg) & children captive & they have to save them, which they obviously do despite the effort required. Meanwhile, the discord between Anastasia & Jafar is at breaking point as Jafar now plans to go to war with Wonderland after he gets Cyrus' bottle & to change the laws of magic. Anastasia ends up managing to help Cyrus get to Alice, eventually with him gaining her trust & convincing the others to do the same once they do reunite. It's also discovered that Anastasia's real intentions were to go back in time so that she didn't get married to the Red King as she's always still loved Will & has always regretted her decision. Then Jafar tries to kill Alice, so Will uses her last wish which she gave him to stop her suffering, leading Cyrus to become human & Will taking his place in the genie bottle. The flashbacks show more of Alice & Cyrus falling in love & discussing the possible dangers of them being a couple, but decide to stay together & make a home for themselves in Wonderland.
I surprisngly liked this episode due to the relationship between Alice & Cyrus as they actually discuss the problems that may arise in their romance after she gets injured by a man who tries to take him away from her & is healed by the White Rabbit & his wife. I also liked seeing more of Cyrus' & Anastasia's interaction together& that we got to see more development from her & finally discovering her true intentions of what she's done. And all with good acting from Emma Rigby's part slipping out of that fake stuck up accent! I liked the twist ending (well, it is a midseason finale after all) with Will taking Cyrus' place as the genie in the bottle & the final wish this time round was actually thought out despite the consequences! And it'll be interesting to see more of Jafar being a crazy tyrant now that his alliance with Anastasia has ended & that she has switched sides. I do have some problems like Alice & Cyrus' reunion felt anticlimatic after everything Alice has done to get to him, the flashbacks were pretty much pointless & the CGI on the White Rabbit's family...EWW! Sorry, it looked absolutely horrendous! Anyway, thankfully they didn't ruin the experience of watching the episode, but... EWW it just looked creepy! Anyway, I enjoyed this episode thanks to the writing & that the quest plot has ended, but now I'm wondering what else they can do now that there'll be a war coming in Wonderland!
