Once Upon a Fangirl...: Quiet Minds

Following The Tower, this episode centres on Belle and Neal, with their attempts to bring Rumple back from the dead with the help of Lumiere (played by Henri Lubatti), a French enchanted candlestick, who you might know from the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast! They discover the Dark One's vault, which is supposed to revive him with a key, and the cost being a life for a life. Unfortunately, without knowing the price or even caring about it, Neal is the one to turn the key as he is sp desperate to get his father back and return to Henry. No only that, but it's also revealed that the Wicked Witch used Lumiere to trick Belle and Neal into reviving Rumple so she could control him with his dagger. The Storybrooke scenes reveal Neal's whereabouts (finally) and Belle helps the group with finding information about what could've revived Rumple and a mysterious burn mark on Neal's hand. Also, Regina finally discovers Robin Hood is her soulmate after seeing the lion tattoo that Tinker Bell told her about. That's all I can really say about the Storybrooke scenes in terms of a summary!
Now, before I go into my thoughts, I thought I should address the big elephant in the room about what happened near the end of the episode: Neal's death. I knew a series regular would die in the show and Neal was one of the last on my list (honestly, my top choice was Hook) I loved Neal so much and it is very very sad that he was the one who had to go! He will never be forgotton and thankfully, he died a hero. Although, yes, this was a hard episode after the third act, it's one of my favourite season three episodes! The emotional stakes were high, the acting was great, finally, the writers realised the love triangle was pointless, Belle was included and treated well, Lumiere was a great addition (better used than Rapunzel by the way) and I just want Zelena to die now! But, I doubt that's gonna happen as the next episode happens to be called 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'
